Youth Farm Training

Farming is a skill and a future

Teenagers from our community who are out of school learn modern farming in our fields, then leave with a starter kit to begin on their own.

How the training works

Hands-on agri-education that shows farming is a skill and a livelihood worth choosing.

  1. 01

    Learn in the fields

Young people work alongside the farm team on the crops and animals we raise: matooke, maize, huitlacoche and cattle.

  2. 02

    Learn in public

Thomas films the wins and the failures, because farmers learn fastest when they learn in public. The trainees learn from our feed as well as our fields.

  3. 03

    Start on their own

Each young farmer leaves with a starter kit to begin farming for themselves. To confirm: what the starter kit includes.

Young farmers at work

Harvesting, weeding and breaking new ground on the community farm.

Two ways to help
